My name is Jeamy Schaling and I am a passionate traveler, photographer and lover of abandoned buildings. I have been into photography since I was 18 and in 2015, I picked up traveling and visiting abandoned buildings as a hobby. Combining these two passions has been a dream come true for me and through my blog, I want to share my experiences and inspire others to explore the world in their own unique way.
I grew up in Muiden, a small town near Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Growing up, I had always been fascinated with the world around me and I knew that I wanted to capture it in some way. That's when I received my first camera from my parents at the age of 18, and from that day on, I was hooked. I loved nothing more than capturing the world around me through my lens.
But it wasn't until I met my boyfriend in 2015 that I discovered the thrill of visiting abandoned buildings. We started exploring abandoned factories, hospitals, and even entire towns. It was an eerie yet exhilarating feeling. The crumbling walls and broken windows had a certain beauty to them, and I fell in love with the idea of capturing that beauty through my camera.
So, I started traveling all over Europe, specifically Italy, to find the most interesting abandoned buildings to photograph. I have been to many beautiful places, but the abandoned buildings always had something special to them, something that I couldn't find anywhere else.
However, my love for photography extends beyond abandoned buildings. I am also passionate about capturing the beauty of old cities and the natural world. Whether it's the charming streets of Venice or the stunning landscapes of Norway, I am always in awe of the world's beauty and I strive to capture that through my camera.
I am now 31 years old and I want to share my experiences with all of you. I want to inspire people to travel and see the world in a different way. I want to entertain you with stories from my adventures and show you the beauty that can be found in the most unexpected places. And I just want to have a place to share my thoughts and experiences with the world. I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy creating it!
